In 2017, Mohammad K. Ayaseh co-founded the Deewan Institute for Languages and Cultural Studies in Amman, Jordan. Soon after, Mohammad began developing The Comprehensive Guide to Levantine Arabic, the first extensive curriculum dedicated exclusively to the Levantine Arabic dialect. This curriculum draws upon his extensive experience and expertise in teaching Classical and Colloquial Arabic to students of all levels from across the world.

This book is designed to help you expand your knowledge of idioms, expressions and phrases in Levantine Arabic. My goal is to help you grow your vocabulary and to be able to speak and write more fluently. The best way to learn new vocabulary is in context. That’s why each idiom comes with some example sentences. You’ll also find a simple explanation in English for each one and the literal translation of the Arabic phrase. With idiom meanings, example sentences, and clever illustrations depicting scenes and characters for each idiom, this multicultural book explains common phrases straightforwardly and appealingly. In addition, this book provides recordings of Arabic and English idioms and various examples of usage to help students with pronunciation and learning. The different meanings and literal translations of each expression help the user understand not only its linguistics but also the cultural core of idioms in Arabic, strengthening the users understanding of the dynamic of the Arabic language in general.
